What is a Nomad?
Are you my mother?
So, what actually is a Nomad anyway?
Difficult question.
Some concepts resist definition.
Grace.
Wonder.
Paradox.
Beauty.
Character.
Some things are recognized long before adequately being described.
Perhaps a Nomad belongs among them?
You don’t consciously decide to become one. I don’t think. Maybe?
You simply recognize the qualities when you encounter them—in others, in yourself, and sometimes in places you never expected, in beings you hadn’t considered. Fellow travelers.
A Nomad is a being who does not insist that reality conform to expectation, but instead becomes skillful at recognizing the conditions unfolding before them.
A Nomad accepts the reality of each moment and abides within it with curiosity, compassion, agility, and grace.
Rather than seeking certainty, a Nomad cultivates the agility required to exist within uncertainty.
Rather than trying to define the journey, a Nomad learns to discern the terrain of the present moment and to traverse that landscape more adeptly.
A Nomad understands that reality is alive, interconnected, paradoxical, and ever changing, with every moment quietly inviting participation.
Recognize the instant...
...and collaborate within it.
Artifacts exist everywhere.
Nikki's World is simply an attempt to recover, curate, and present some of them for your own discernment. Take a look and see what serves you and perhaps what you may serve.
If an artifact found you, consider that there might be a reason why.
Artifacts become both collaborators and companions. They help, assist, abet…… almost conspire to create more comfortable conditions for you to navigate your reality.
Gentle reminders...
to pay attention.
to notice.
to remain curious.
to cultivate wonder.
to offer yourself the same grace you hope to offer the world.
to recognize mystery without needing to untangle it.
to dance within reality, rain or shine.
The practice is not to eliminate mystery, but to become graceful within it.
Remain open to what is...
...and stay amazed by it.
May all beings benefit.
~Nikki
